Who are we?

The IMA, Innovation Makers Alliance, is the main French-speaking technological consortium, bringing together the technological and innovation departments of the vast majority of large French companies and administrations. Organized as an association under the 1901 law, the IMA brings together all digital leaders to accelerate and federate technological projects between major accounts, ETIs and administrations

Our DNA

Be independent from suppliers

The board of directors and all members of the IMA are Digital Decision-Makers. All content as well as the majority of events are reserved for members. It is the assurance of authentic points of view and sharing

Produce content that is directly operational and has high added value

The IMA produces deliverables and content all year round: 15 white papers published per year, dozens of working group meetings, collections of inspiring use cases, dozens of questions asked on the mutual aid forum or new startups referenced each month, and multiple additional content (videos, webinars, etc.)

Our story told by our founder

Innovation Makers Alliance (IMA)

After creating CRiP in 2008, an association bringing together IT infrastructure and production managers, which now includes 350 organizations and 10,000 members, I realized that there was still no group that was truly independent of suppliers allowing all strategic and operational managers of technological transformation Major Groups, ETI and French-speaking Administrations to come together to share their best practices, accelerate their innovative projects and federate collective intelligence in favor of technological innovation.
So I created The Innovations Makers Alliance (IMA) in 2015, technological consortium, to meet the following challenges:
1. Bringing together all strategic and operational managers of technological innovation in business (Directions: DSI, Innovation, Digital, Data, Data, Data, Transformation, R&D, Jobs) in a circle of trust, independent of suppliers
2. Federate initiatives between Member Organizations to accelerate Time-to-Market, reduce engagement risks and optimize technology budgets
3. Open minds and allow inspiration of our members by introducing them to the work of their peers and the global ecosystem of tech partners, evaluated and recommended by their peers
4. enable access to all digital decision-makers member organizations, regardless of their department (DSI, innovation, professions, etc.), to the services of the IMA thanks to a single and modest contribution (for such a large consortium), a “no brainer”
5. Organizing the collective work of members on technological developments and new uses so that they can be a source of proposals for professions

The IMA immediately joined forces with ITIforums, our historical and strategic partner (in charge of managing the consortium, content, events, and partner relationships), our historical and strategic partner., based on a simple concept and a “Win Win” model that still exists today. It is thanks to this partnership that the IMA can organize quality events and always produce more added value for its members.
As you know, there are a lot of private and public initiatives around innovation and technologies... Especially to help startups: by incubating them, by helping them to benefit from public funding...But the IMA is unique, because the IMA focuses on the contrary on helping large companies and administrations, and this in a non-thematic way (we deal with all tech topics) and open to all tech departments and professions. I think we are bringing Something different and complementary, both for companies and administrations as well as for tech partners, by accelerating technological projects within our member organizations, and by helping them in their selection of partners.

This tremendous summary of collective intelligence did not exist and still does not exist elsewhere. that can be found at the IMA, produced by more than 8307 decision-makers in charge of the technological transformation of their companies, or initiatives which allows, as we do, to co-experiment and co-produce between large groups, nor platforms allowing the honest sharing of successes but also failures, so that everyone can benefit from the past experiences of others.
These are the ingredients that make the IMA successful and allow it to constantly grow and make its members ever more efficient in their jobs. Today, with more than 8307 members and more than 121 member organizations, including 3/4 of the CAC 40 and most major ministries, the IMA is now a incredible driver of the French digital and technological ecosystem, an extremely efficient consortium providing all its members with sharing high value-added content and allowing its ecosystem of partners direct access to the key decision-makers of the largest groups and administrations.

Thank you for your loyalty and your contribution!

Welcome to the IMA website,The association 'Innovation Makers Alliance', the main French consortium of digital departments, brings together all the players in technological innovation in companies and administrations. Our association is here to bring you inspiration, acceleration of your projects, risk reduction and optimization of budgets of experimentation. At the IMA, we are convinced that the value lies in bringing new technologies together with the ambitions of the company's businesses. It is important to make this connection in both directions:
1. Let's continue to adopt cutting-edge technologies, by involving businesses very quickly to optimize their implementation and performance.
2. Let's work creatively with users to imagine the services of tomorrow and then find the technologies that allow us to turn these ideas into reality

Businesses are facing numerous challenges related to technology: competition with GAFAs, digitalization of processes, partnerships with startups, etc.
IT departments often take a defensive approach to these changes. : avoid Shadow IT, manage Legacy, budget and production while supporting business demands.

I am convinced that all those responsible for the technological transformation of their company have a major role as agents of change to help their company adapt. to this new competitive environment and move towards an offensive advantage mode.
However, the IMA is perfectly in line with this perspective: not only
we help the success of innovative technological projects, but we also have an impact on the innovative culture of the entire company, from the director to the expert. And it is through this long-term paradigm shift that we will move from incentive innovation approaches to intrinsic innovation at all levels of the organization.

The IMA must help you in this transformation. Our philosophy is based on exchanges between peers around concrete cases:
• The network allows innovation peers to meet, on our social network, or during our events
• Agnostic, high value-added content is produced at each event and working group, and available 24 hours a day on our digital platform
• The mutual support forum allows you to benefit from advice from your peers, to be inspired by their use cases and to learn from their successes and failures
• The consortium also makes it possible to pool monitoring, joint projects, and experiments between member organizations

The IMA was tailor-made to meet the needs of actors ('Makers') in technological innovation, wherever they are in their company.
I want our services — available to all employees of member companies at a single membership cost — to make you more effective in your daily roles and activities.

I wish you a pleasant visit to our site and full of success in the innovative transformation of your businesses.
